This page contains pictures of the progress of building our house, from the gib on to painting. The pictures are in reverse chronological order.
11 June 98: The kitchen, covered in plastic ready for painting the ceiling and walls:
6 June 98: The kitchen, mostly finished. There are still a few minor things to be done, such as the bar upstand, and installing the sink, oven, etc etc. Also, the fridge doors are wrong -- we're having an integrated fridge. The cuboards along the back wall are: corner pantry, integrated fridge (with bookshelf above), appliance cuboard with cupboards and drawers below and microwave cupboard and more cupboards above, and finally a crockery cupboard. The appliance and microwave cupboards have roller doors:
5 June 98: The kitchen, in the middle of being installed:
5 June 98: The spa bath again, this time in place and unwrapped:
5 June 98: The vanity in the main bathroom:
5 June 98: The vanity in the ensuite bathroom. The wire sticking out of the wall above it is for the mirror demister. The wire by the floor is for the under-tile heating. Nice little luxuries!
5 June 98: The shelving in the walk-in wardrobe. We'll probably replace this basic shelving with a fancy organiser system one day:
30 May 98: Yet more piles of dirt from Neville; mostly clay this time:
