The Micro.blog challenge word for day 27 is “dilemma”. Paladin is on the comfy blanket on my office couch, so Pippin has a dilemma of where to go; my lap, or downstairs to @jidabug’s lap? 📷🐈 #mbnov

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 26 is “adjust”. Here’s the table setting for Thanksgiving last year. This year requires some adjustment, just Jenn and me. Stay safe out there, so you can celebrate future Thanksgivings! 📷 #mbnov

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US! For Throwback Thursday, here is part of our feast from five years ago, in 2015. 🥔🦃 #ThrowbackThursday

The answer to today’s #WhatsItWednesday question, as correctly identified on Micro.blog: a 5.25” floppy disk. This one with Pascal for Apple ][ on it, from about 1985. One of a few I still have in a carrying case.

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 25 is “call”. In moving back to my upstairs office, I didn’t bother plugging in my landline extension, since I never use it anyway — we have the most basic phone plan on it, with a per-minute charge for an outgoing call. 📷☎️ #mbnov

Paladin didn’t like to snuggle on me in my downstairs office, but seems to have decided that upstairs is okay. 🐈

We ordered a 14 lb whole turkey from Crowd Cow last week, which they shipped in 5 lb of dry ice. That would have been fine, except FedEx left it laying around their depot for a week, so it arrived totally defrosted, and we have to throw it out. 📦🦃

Paladin approves of access to the couch in my office (and the fuzzy blanket I put on it for a cat nest). He’s never experienced me in this office; he was born a year after I moved downstairs. 🐈

Yesterday I moved back into my upstairs office, after being downstairs since October 2016. As a bonus, I now have another screen (as if I didn’t have plenty). Some leftover junk to tidy away still. Jenn has now moved to the downstairs desk (3rd pic, when empty). 💻🖥🖥

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 23 is “capture”. It’s fun when I see a cat on the front steps, and am able to capture an interesting photo of them — like this shot of Spud enjoying a good scratch. 📷🐈 #mbnov

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 22 is “border”. @jidabug made a tasty “Dutch baby” for breakfast this morning; the curling border of it looks kinda like a frozen cresting wave. 📷🥞 #mbnov

After Rory lost a leg to osteosarcoma in 2015, and couldn’t navigate the stairs anymore, I moved from my upstairs office to a “temporary” desk in the parlor (2nd pic). Now that Jenn also works from home, I’m thinking about moving back up there; needs a bit of a clean out.

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 21 is “winter”. We haven’t had any snow yet this year, but a definite sign of winter is frosty ice crystals on the deck. 📷❄️ #mbnov
