On the homestead blog: today I added a ceramic cat dish to the duck house, as a baby-sized pool from which they can enjoy drinking and wading. 🦆

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 20 is "change" (suggested by @mitch), so I thought I’d combine that and Throwback Thursday to look at some changes in the homestead over the past seven years — 2013 vs 2020. 📷 #mbaug #ThrowbackThursday

The answer to today’s What’s It Wednesday question: the yellow globs are small drips of honey, from the honey super I put in the shop freezer. Plus some crumbs of cat litter from Pansy the shop cat, on a rug in the back of the shop. 🍯 #WhatsItWednesday

I skipped last week, but let’s play What’s It Wednesday again. What do you think this is? #WhatsItWednesday

On the homestead blog: today I introduced the ducklings to straw bedding, and raised up the feeder a little, since they're getting bigger. 🦆

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 17 is "cuddly" (suggested by @jemostrom). Ducklings look very cuddly, but it’s not a good idea, as that could hurt them, you don’t want them to imprint on humans, and they can be a source of salmonella. 📷🦆 #mbaug

Star Trek: The Next Generation TV series 📺 #MediaMonday

A classic sci-fi series from the 80’s and 90’s. We’re currently working our way through this series, watching an episode most Saturday and Sunday mornings after breakfast.

On the homestead blog: the new ducklings are noticeably growing every day; they're already starting to get a more duck-like shape. 🦆

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 16 is "stationary" (suggested by @joehamill). After closing up the duck house last night, I encountered Spud, one of our feral cats, on the driveway. He remained stationary, thinking if he doesn’t move, I can’t see him. 📷 #mbaug
