Dejus

I know I posted a picture of BFFs Rory & Paladin a couple of days ago, but I just can't help myself. Here's them snuggling in a sunbeam this morning. So cute! #dejus365 #cats #dogs

Yesterday I added some bark around trees near the white gazebo, to make mowing around them easier (used to have to mow around each tree individually). #dejus365 #landscaping

Since it's national dog day, here's our tripawd Great Dane, Rory, along with her BFF Paladin. #NationalDogDay

I tend to cook mostly outdoors (burgers and such) during summer months, and I don't (yet) have an outdoor pizza oven, so it's been about seven weeks since I last made a pizza. But the weather has cooled off a bit, so last night I made one again. Tasty as ever. #dejus365 #pizza

Following up from yesterday's post, here's Paladin now, trying to decide between his two favorite red toys. #dejus365 #cats

This weekend marks the one year anniversary of adopting Paladin from the Cat Adoption Team (CAT) shelter in Sherwood, Oregon. It was love at first sight on both sides. #dejus365 #ThrowbackThursday #cats

I post a photo each day, and since I promised cat pictures, here's one of a feral cat running, with the cat house I built in the background. #dejus365 #cats

Yay, that worked. You can now follow me on Mastodon as @dejus@pdx.social to get the same thrilling content (let's admit it, mainly cat pictures) as on my blog, on Micro.blog, and on Twitter.

Hmm, that previous post didn't get cross-posted to Twitter (yet, anyway). So let's try again, with an image this time (of a feral cat playing).

I've signed up on Mastodon as @dejus@pdx.social, and used Moa.party to link my Twitter and Mastodon accounts. So if that works, posting to my blog (as I'm doing now) should be picked up by Micro.blog, cross-posted to Twitter, then to Mastodon.

This summer the wasps have been particularly bad, to the point where we're reluctant to sit on the deck. So I've just got a screen for the umbrella to try to improve that. Hopefully this will help. #dejus365

Well, that was a bit of a shock... I was just looking on Google Maps Street View at old houses (for reasons), and saw that my first Auckland childhood home (as recently shown on my blog) is no longer there. Looks like just a hole in the ground now.

Another childhood home in Auckland, this time from about 10 to 15 years old, as I recall. Downstairs started off as a game room, but ended up my parents' bedroom, after my youngest brother Gavin was born. #dejus365 #ThrowbackThursday
