On the homestead blog: the last ever flock update post. It’s been quite a run, but it’s time to start winding down the homestead blog. #FlockFriday 🦆🐓

For week/year 34 of my 52 years celebration, from 2004: me reciting the Oath of Allegiance during my US citizenship ceremony, when I became a dual citizen of New Zealand and the US. #ThrowbackThursday #52years

The answer to today’s #WhatsItWednesday question, as amazingly identified on Micro.blog: it's an ice pack on top of a bandage, as part of the after-care for my skin cancer removal surgery yesterday. ❄️🩹🦵

Let’s play What’s It Wednesday again. What do you think this is? Very blurry, straight from the camera; I doubt anyone will figure it out, though there’s a clue available. #WhatsItWednesday

Jenn and I are feeling super-stressed at present. Our house closing is one week from today, we’re busy sorting our stuff for take/store/sell, we’re nervous about our RV adventure (awaiting test results for it, driving a big coach, finding places to stay, issues with it, etc), and before that our upcoming trip to Yellowstone in a rental trailer (with our new coach sitting idle at home, since it won’t fit in Yellowstone). Plus today I’m getting some skin cancer chopped out of my leg, so I didn’t get much sleep last night, and Jenn is feeling very ill (probably as a result of the stress). I’m sure everything will be fine, we just need to get through this transition. Deep breaths….

The new Sinclair Trails blog is now automatically cross-posted to Micro.blog and Twitter. Follow @SinclairTrails on your favorite social network! (Unless that’s Facebook… I would cross-post to that too, but they don’t allow automatic posting. Their loss.)

I have a second pillow to prop me up while reading in bed, then I put it aside to sleep. Sometimes Rory takes advantage of that to sleep next to the bed, instead of on her own bed. 🛌🐕

Today we sold our 2011 Nissan Rogue car, via our excellent estate sale guys. It was a great car, but we'll be towing our pickup behind our future motorhome, so it was time for it to find a new home. Here’s a pic of Jenn and me from when we bought it in January 2011. 🚙

I liked the symmetry of Paladin looking out the window. It reminded us of an elephant, so of course I had to add googly eyes to the pic. 🐈🐘
