Listen to the peeping and watch the wobbliness of our new day old ducklings.

Betty and a Rouen wrestling, then Cora uses a rock to slide into the pond. It looks like that's a frequent route.

The ducks swimming in the pond, enjoying mealworm treats tossed from the pond deck.

Since the new ducks didn't avail themselves of the pond when I opened the pop door yesterday, today I "encouraged" them (I basically shoved them out the door). The three females went first, and Bert showed them around the pond, then the boys joined them.

This video contains five clips from their first swim, from different vantage points around the pond.

Today we opened the duck house pop door, enabling the new ducks to go into the pond, but instead Bert took the opportunity to join them in their house and run. (Bert is the duck closest to the pop door.)

I recently turned on the waterfall for our pond. Here are three clips of the waterfall, cascades, and pond.

An extremely short video of a duckling rapidly paddling when stepping off the ledge in the duckling pool. Fun with sound!

In my previous video, the water level in the kiddie pool was fairly low, so the ducklings were more wading than swimming. Today, I rearranged the steps, and made the water more deep, so they could actually swim for the first time.

Watch their feet zipping along as they get used to this new experience!

Three ducklings swimming and eating leafy treats in the kiddie pool in their temporary run.

A video from this morning of the ducklings eating leafy treats and bathing in the pool, with some peeps and proto-quacks, plus Bert hanging out.

A time-lapse video of our feral cats Poppy and Porcini snuggling, briefly joined by a couple of other cats.

A slow-motion video with three clips of a duckling dunking their head under the water and shaking the water off.

Just a bit of video of a couple of ducklings paddling in their pool, and others eating and drinking.

A summary video of the last week outside our feral cat house.

Video on the Dejus YouTube channel: Today our ducklings discovered the joy of swimming.

A summary (generated by Camect) of 11 hours at the feral cat cabins, showing three cats in the cabins.

While I was spending time with the ducklings this morning, Bert came up to the door and tried to peek inside. Maybe I need a step for him?

Sound on! Listen to Bert's raspy quack in the first half of the video, and the ducklings peeping in the second half.

Bert the duck checking out the chickens in their run.

We have a pool from which our bees can drink, filled with rocks for them to land on so they don't drown. This is a slow-motion recording of bees drinking and flying above the pool.
