I will turn 52 years old in May, and there are 52 weeks in a year, so I thought I’d celebrate by posting one photo from each year of my life every Thursday in 2021.

Sorry if this grosses out anyone. I found several of these larvae-like things in mud wedged between stuff in a junk pile. I haven’t been able to identify them; can anyone help? I assume an insect of some kind.
Update: Seems likely to be from a mud dauber wasp. Mostly harmless.
