The Micro.blog challenge word for day 5 is “stoop“. I have to stoop when going into my old chicken coop, as the door is a bit less than 5 feet high; I’ve banged my head more than once. So when I built the new coop, I made a full-height door. 📷🔨🐓 #mbnov

Video: Best day of the year for our chickens. Once the first frost of fall brings the veggie garden growth to an end, we let the chickens in there, so they can eat the remaining tomatoes, kale, lettuce, etc. 📹🐓
What better treat for the chickens on Halloween than a pumpkin?! Plus I noticed a great-looking spiderweb between some of the pumpkins from our garden in the breezeway. 🕸🎃🐓

It’s still below freezing overnight, so unsurprisingly the waterers in the chicken runs are frozen, with some nice icicles. (Don’t worry, they have heated waterers inside the coops.) 🐓❄️
