A few more photos from our 2005 anniversary trip to Hawaii: us on the beach, palm tree and rainbow tower, and a couple of breakfasts on the lanai. Good times. #ThrowbackThursday

Mask selfie when going to the post office and feed store today. Looks kinda silly with my beard, but it’s the way of the world nowadays. Wear a mask, people. 😷
More from our trip to Hawaii in 2005; we enjoyed a rainbow by the Diamond Head volcanic cone before celebrating our anniversary at a resort restaurant, and bringing back a chocolate Diamond Head dessert. #ThrowbackThursday
I’m fortunate that I don’t need to leave the homestead very often: it’s been 57 days since the last time, when I picked up the ducklings (and I went 61 days earlier this year). But today I did, to get duck and chicken food, straw, and mower gas.
Remember the Before Times, when people could travel? Back in 2004 Jenn and I visited Las Vegas. Check out that fancy video camera! #ThrowbackThursday
Back in 2004 when we lived in a townhouse, we only had a tiny backyard. Since I always want a pond, I added a small one, and other landscaping. #ThrowbackThursday
A picture of Jenn and me from 2004, in the Portland Japanese Garden. I look so strange without a proper beard (and glasses). #ThrowbackThursday
I thought it’d be fun to join the Micro.blog photo meetup from my pond, but the Wi-Fi was too dodgy, so I couldn’t connect reliably. D’oh! Here’s a selfie, anyway. // @macgenie
It’s duckling day! This morning I headed to the post office to pick them up (and get some gas for the mowers on the way). Here’s me in my beard-compatible mask for these pandemic days. (Stay tuned for lots of duckling pics.)
I was born at 16:17 NZ time on May 23, 1969. So right… now is my exact birthday. 🎂
