The word for day 4 of the Micro.blog photo challenge is “spot”. I’ve added a few more stickers on my 16” MacBook Pro, and it’s becoming increasingly hard to find a clear spot. (New ones are Daring Fireball, Hypercritical, and Turn Touch.) #mbfeb

I usually add a Dejal sticker or two on my devices, but decided to add a bunch more on my new MacBook Pro 16”. Included here are SheetPlanner, Dejal, Time Out, The Incomparable, Upgrade, Alt Conf, Micro.blog, and ATP.
Think I have enough screens? In the back, old iMac showing cameras, new iMac with Xcode, and Jenn’s iMac; in front, iPad Pro with social media (Micro.blog here), old iPad mini with another camera, iPhone Qi charger, and MacBook Pro with OmniFocus notes.
My office is normally very quiet, so having my backup drive spinning up and chattering was annoying. I’ve just switched my iMac’s Time Machine backup to a silent 2 TB external Samsung T5 SSD, and my nightly clone backup to a 1 TB SSD. So much nicer!
With my new MacBook Pro 16”, I’m a part-time resident of Dongletown, so I got a dongle case to carry them.

I feel my resistance breaking down… I am very tempted by the MacBook Pro 16”, and today my aging non-retina MacBook Air (2014) was starting to act flaky… and Jenn keeps saying I should buy the 16 for our big trip next year. I’m feeling a big purchase on Black Friday is increasingly likely. I use an iMac as my main machine, so don’t really need a powerful laptop most of the time… but it would be a nice upgrade for those times I do.
After Jenn moved to NZ in 1994, we got our own place, a tiny and dingy flat in Mairangi Bay. But that was fine; we didn’t have much stuff back then. #dejus365 #ThrowbackThursday
