The Micro.blog challenge word for day 21 is “colors”. Here’s a picture of our custom chicken coop from the recent ice storm, with the translucent icicles and white snow adding to the many colors of the coop, inspired by Caribbean houses. 📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 20 is “weather”. We’ve had some interesting weather this month, with snow, ice, rain, wind… but one phenomenon that I particularly enjoyed was a rainbow. 🌈📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 19 is “alive”. Quality feed not only keeps our chickens alive, but also healthy, happy, and productive, when combined with tasty treats. 🐓📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 17 is “still”. The feral cats stay very still when I’m looking in their direction, to not attract my attention. Here’s Poppy cautiously watching me from one of the heated cabins under our main deck. 🐈📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 16 is “erudite”. Maybe the erudite folks who made the feral cat feeder could figure out that the best way to cope with low batteries when the power is off might not be to continuously dump all of the food? 🐈📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 15 is “reflection”. A reflection in the pond of the ducks sleeping on the bank, amongst melting icy residue of the snow. ❄️🦆📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 14 is “compassion”. We are still without electricity from the ice storm, but I have compassion for the several animals dependent on us, including the hummingbirds; our feeders are probably their only source of food. ❄️🐦📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 13 is “make”. Our power went out last night just before bedtime, and is expected to be out for possibly days, due to a big ice storm… which mean we have to make do with water jugs like this, since we’re on a well. 📷 #mbfeb

The Micro.blog challenge word for day 12 is “sporg” (a made-up word). It snowed a little last night (with more expected today); this morning Rory was keen to go out and sporg in the snow. 🐕📷 #mbfeb
