We are safe at Mom’s place. We took our dog Rory, pet cats Pippin and Paladin, and the six ducklings, since they can’t stay on their own for more than a day. The older ducks and feral cats can fend for themselves; the chickens should be fine for a few days.

More pictures from our Hawaii vacation in 2005, to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. #ThrowbackThursday
Back in 2005 Jenn and I went to Hawaii to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. Here are some shots of the view from our room, with Diamond Head & Waikiki Beach. #ThrowbackThursday
The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 7 is “daytripping” (suggested by @stevsmit). We’re not likely to go anywhere any time soon, but the last day-trip we took was to the Stonehenge replica in the Gorge back in February. 📷 #mbaug
Remember the Before Times, when people could travel? Back in 2004 Jenn and I visited Las Vegas. Check out that fancy video camera! #ThrowbackThursday
Our first trip to Las Vegas in 2004. #ThrowbackThursday
This week marks the 40th anniversary of the big Mt St Helens eruption, so it’s fitting that my next scheduled throwback photos are of a visit there in August 2003. #ThrowbackThursday
Pictures of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse and Yaquina Bay Bridge, taken in April 2003 during an anniversary trip to the Oregon coast. (Hey kids, in the Before Times people could actually travel and stay places.) #ThrowbackThursday
We have a wall of old-timey-style postcards to commemorate places we’ve visited. Since we won’t be visiting anywhere for a while due to COVID-19, we added a “Surf Your Couch” postcard to mark this time. Prints of this and other designs are available from the artist.
From 2002, four pictures of the Grays River Covered Bridge in southwestern Washington state, built in 1905. #ThrowbackThursday
