Rory’s bed in the office is also not really a cat place, but Paladin enjoys it. And Rory is willing to settle for a smaller cushion; she knows who’s boss. #dejus365 🐱🐶
Month: December 2018
I just remembered that my main iMac still wasn’t being backed up by Backblaze. I had originally figured that pretty much everything is replicated on my second iMac, but for the additional peace of mind, the extra less than $4/month (when paying for 2 years) is peanuts, so now they both are.
The only gotcha is that I have really slow internet in my rural location (12 Mbps down, 1 up), so it’ll take ages to do the initial backup. But I can schedule it to do it at night, and add exclusions to do the most important things first, so it’s all good.
An assortment of old CD-ROMs: CodeWarrior dev tools, Mac OS 9, Mac OS X 10.1 (Puma), 10.2 (Jaguar), 10.3 (Panther), 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard), and iLife ’04 and ’05. #dejus365 #ThrowbackThursday
Paladin on top of the kitchen cabinets… not an approved cat place, but he doesn’t care. #dejus365 🐱
I’m enjoying that Dejal Time Out is currently being highlighted in two places in the Mac App Store: on the home Discover page under Apps and Games We Love Right Now, and the Work page under Master the Menu Bar. Nice!
On the homestead blog, something a little different: cam pictures and photos of the chickens this morning. (See the post for more pictures.) #dejus365 🐓
The fall leaves are almost all gone, but here’s one last picture of them for this year. #dejus365
Today is the 12th anniversary of the first Dejal blog post, and creating the Dejal forums. I seem to have gotten out of the habit of blogging regularly there. Perhaps the homestead and personal blogs fulfill that need, though I want to get back into that for the app company too. And I’m thinking of shutting down the forums, due to spam attacks, and decreasing usage; most people prefer to contact me directly.
Our pond froze in the cold weather this past week. #dejus365
