On the homestead blog: just three pictures of the ducklings today; I’ve been too busy with other stuff to spend much time with them. 🦆

On the homestead blog: a focus on food today for the ducklings. 🦆
Timely quote from Heinlein’s Time Enough for Love: 💬
If you are part of a society that votes, then do so. There may be no candidates and no measures you want to vote for … but there are certain to be ones you want to vote against. In case of doubt, vote against. By this rule you will rarely go wrong.
If this is too blind for your taste, consult some well-meaning fool (there is always one around) and ask his advice. Then vote the other way. This enables you to be a good citizen (if such is your wish) without spending the enormous amount of time on it that truly intelligent exercise of franchise requires.
From my homestead post today, the animated GIF of three ducks swimming in circles. 🦆
On the homestead blog today for the ducklings, some stretching of wings, fun splashes, and a GIF. 🦆
Accidental Tech Podcast 📡 #MediaMonday
ATP is a popular podcast in the Apple community, where three nerds discuss Apple-related topics with insightful thoughts. And when needed, they complain because they care. I enjoy the member “bootleg” show.
I still have a bunch of flower pictures from before our evacuation (not much blooming now), so I might as well post them occasionally for your enjoyment, on no set schedule. Here’s an aster shrub. 🌱🌼
On the homestead blog: the first day back in the duck house and run for the ducklings, with the kiddie pool. 🦆
On the homestead blog: we did a quick half-hour visit to our beehives today, to swap out the mite treatment strips and add “bee juice”, a syrup of sugar water to help the bees build up their winter stores, since there aren’t many flowers blooming at this time of year. 🐝
Video: this morning I set up the kiddie pool in the duckling run again. The new ducklings were excited to swim and dive in it, having gotten used to it in their evacuation trailer pen. Since the water is fresh, you can clearly see their feet paddling away. And all the water splashing me, sitting right next to the pool! 🦆
