The answer to today’s #WhatsItWednesday question: it’s our main well head. We had an issue with our well last night, where its power supply stopped working (so no water for us); fortunately we were able to get it repaired this morning. Here’s a diagram of a well system.
On the homestead blog: I replaced a burst soaker hose in the veggie garden with better irrigation. (Plus another glimpse of today’s flower in the corner.)
The answer to today’s #WhatsItWednesday question, as correctly identified by one person: it’s a hose valve. I got it for our fountain garden to allow adjusting the pressure of the fountain independently of the other irrigation emitters.
Nobody on Twitter or Facebook guessed what this mystery tool is, but four people got it on Micro.blog. It’s a multi-tool I just bought to help with irrigation, to cut tubing, punch holes, and insert or remove emitters. #WhatsItWednesday
On the homestead blog: yesterday we started the potato planters. I added some scoria and dirt to the planter frames, Jenn planted the seed potatoes, and I added new irrigation for them.
