The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 20 is “change” (suggested by @mitch), so I thought I’d combine that and Throwback Thursday to look at some changes in the homestead over the past seven years — 2013 vs 2020. 📷 #mbaug #ThrowbackThursday

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 21 is “crunch” (suggested by @gannonnordberg). Walking near the compost and chicken coops involves the crunch of gravel and the numerous cones from the nearby grove of trees. Here are some with misty spiderwebs. 📷 #mbaug

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 24 is “frosty” (suggested by @canion). It isn’t frosty weather here at present, so searching my photo archive revealed this frosty beverage with a foldable straw from our trip to Mexico last year (remember travel?). 📷 #mbaug

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 25 is “hope” (suggested by maique). This morning I tried to hand-feed leafy treats to the ducklings for the first time, with a hope that they’d take it. Spoiler: they did (more in tonight’s duckling post). 📷 #mbaug

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 26 is “relentless” (suggested by @poetalegre). I can’t think of anything more relentless around the homestead than bamboo. I recently cut this grove to the ground, and it keeps on sprouting new stalks. 📷 #mbaug

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 27 is “overcome” (suggested by @GregMorris). Spotted flying overhead recently: a paraglider that has overcome gravity to cruise the skies. 📷 #mbaug

The Micro.blog photo challenge word for day 29 is “flake” (suggested by kurite). After mealworms, the all-time favorite treat of our chickens are flakes of rice. They love strawberries, too, but ignore those till they’ve eaten all the rice. 📷🍓🍚🐓 #mbaug
