On the homestead blog: a big announcement — we are starting our next big adventure. We have put our homestead on the market, and will be buying a large RV, downsizing, and touring the US full-time! (And yes, this is the #WhatsItWednesday answer.)
When I attended my first WWDC in 2006, they bussed everyone to the Infinite Loop Apple campus for the WWDC Bash. But I spent 2 hours standing in a line to get into the Apple company store to buy merch, so the bash was over by the time I got in. Oh well. #ThrowbackThursday
I was just doing my cardboard processing, collapsing shipping cartons for recycling, and was amused by some text on the bottom of the Imperfect Foods box. I like it when companies have a sense of humor (and definitely support things for cats). 📦
Today we went to Home Depot for duck island parts, Costco for groceries (everyone was properly masked etc), then stopped for some tasty burritos from our favorite food cart on the way home. It’s been 4 months since the last time we ate something we didn’t make ourselves. 🌯
Another throwback: tomorrow is the ten year anniversary of buying our Nissan Rogue car… which we still have. Here we are in front of it in the dealer showroom. #ThrowbackThursday
We ordered a 14 lb whole turkey from Crowd Cow last week, which they shipped in 5 lb of dry ice. That would have been fine, except FedEx left it laying around their depot for a week, so it arrived totally defrosted, and we have to throw it out. 📦🦃
The Micro.blog challenge word for day 13 is “guess”. When I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max, it said it’d be delivered today, but it has been pushed out to November 25; I can’t guess why, but hey, what’s a few more days. 📱 #mbnov
