For the first time leaving the homestead this decade, I had a dental cleaning, then dropped off a package at the UPS store, Subway for lunch, feed store for chicken/duck/bird food, gas store for the truck’s food, and the post office to clear out the junk mail from the PO box. That’ll do me for a month or so.
Month: January 2020
A small Japanese lantern by the small pond, with the cat house in the background.

Think I have enough screens? In the back, old iMac showing cameras, new iMac with Xcode, and Jenn’s iMac; in front, iPad Pro with social media (Micro.blog here), old iPad mini with another camera, iPhone Qi charger, and MacBook Pro with OmniFocus notes.
Paladin alertly watching from on high; his perch above the kitchen cabinets. 🐈

I sell my Dejal Time Out app via a supporter model, and like to help support other creators that I enjoy.
I’m a supporter / patron / member of several podcasts, including (in alphabetic order):
- 512 Pixels: Apple-related tech podcast
- CGP Grey: YouTube creator
- Core Intuition: Apple-related tech
- Do By Friday: ostensibly a challenge podcast
- Hello Internet: two dudes talking
- The Incomparable: games, movies, etc
- Relay FM: lots of podcasts
- Release Notes: business, everything but the code
- Six Colors: Apple-related tech
- TechMeme Ride Home: daily tech news
- Two Headed Girl: increasing gender awareness
I typically go for the $10/month or annual equivalent level, where available (I do prefer annual). There are lots of podcasts that don’t have memberships that I’d support if they did, including the Accidental Tech Podcast and The Talk Show; I contribute to those by buying their merch.
Check out those podcasts if they sound interesting, and please consider helping to support them if you enjoy their work.
(Sometime I plan to do a series of posts on the podcasts that I enjoy, if that sounds interesting.)
Something a little different for this week’s #ThrowbackThursday: some of my favorite photos from 2019. I have picked one photo from each month; sometimes just because I like it, sometimes as a reminder of a trip, or other reasons.
Click or tap a month name to see all photos for that month, or click or tap a photo to visit its original post (which may have other photos).
