On the Sinclair Trails blog: tomorrow we will be completing the purchase of our motorhome, staying the night in it at a campground. 🚌💵

Today we sold our 2011 Nissan Rogue car, via our excellent estate sale guys. It was a great car, but we’ll be towing our pickup behind our future motorhome, so it was time for it to find a new home. Here’s a pic of Jenn and me from when we bought it in January 2011. 🚙
On the new Sinclair Trails blog: a brief update on our RV purchase progress. 🚌💰
On the new Sinclair Trails blog (yes, it exists now!): tomorrow we’ll be doing a seven-hour roundtrip to check out and hopefully purchase a coach that looks like a very good fit for us. Wish us luck! 🚌💰
Since some people asked, our estate sale is scheduled for September 9-12. The old Macs I’m selling include:
- Original iMac G3 (powers on, drive doesn’t mount).
- Graphite iBook G3 (power supply dead).
- 2005 Mac mini G4 (powers on, I couldn’t get it to display anything).
- PowerMac G5 (works).
- Old-school clear plastic Apple Cinema Display and Apple Cinema Display HD (works with G5), and aluminum Cinema Display HD.
- 2006 MacBook Pro (works on power supply only).
- 2008 MacBook Pro (works).
- Two mid-2011 iMacs (works).
- 2013 MacBook Air (works).
- 2017 iMac Retina 5K, 27-inch (works).
- About 10 hard drives of various sizes.
- A bunch of spare keyboards etc.
- I also have a bunch of ancient iPods, iPhones, iPads, and Palm devices, and various other stuff.
They will be included in the estate sale in September. Put it on your calendar if interested in them, or our other stuff. It’s going to be a huge event! Sorry, no advance sales.
(Everything in that picture will be for sale, other than the contents of the two plastic bins on the floor.)
Well, that’s very disappointing. The deal on the RV we were purchasing has fallen through. So now we’re back to the drawing board, searching for another coach. We’ve still got time, but that was a perfect one for us; we were so excited to find it. Alas!
On the homestead blog: an update on selling our house and progress towards our next adventure.
On Friday (during our house inspection) we went to a favorite restaurant for lunch, McMenamins Roadhouse, maybe for the last time. It has fascinating architecture, and pleasant gardens.
We now have some very nice signage and brochures for our house… which has already sold, contingently. The market is so busy at present, can’t even get the marketing fully in place before it sells. It is still on the market until the buyer’s place sells, though.
Good news: after just six days on the market, our house has contingently sold. The buyer needs to sell their house before our sale is officially pending, but that shouldn’t take long in this market. 🎉
