For week 15 of my 52 years celebration, from early 1980’s: a picture of my extended family on my mother’s side (I’m in the top-left). #ThrowbackThursday #52years
Month: April 2021
The answer to today’s #WhatsItWednesday question: it’s a Otodata sensor and cellular transmitter to report the level of our propane tank to the supplier. They just installed it. So hopefully now they won’t have to guess if we need a refill.
I got my first COVID-19 vaccination today (Moderna), at a drive-thru clinic (what’s more American than drive-thru vaccinations?!). Quite an easy process, and definitely a relief to start the clock on immunity. Back there in a month for number two. 💉🦠
Let’s play What’s It Wednesday again. What do you think this is? #WhatsItWednesday
A recent @YellowCottageHomestead TikTok video of quacky ducks on the bank of our pond:
Bees visiting a flowering tree; the tree is totally humming with them. 🌳🌼🐝
The Rebound podcast 📡 #MediaMonday
A fun technology podcast (“technology!”), mostly about Apple stuff, by Dan Moren, John Moltz, and Lex Friedman. I enjoy listening to the Rebound Prime bootleg and bonus episodes for extra silliness. And their mug.
A recent @YellowCottageHomestead TikTok video of chickens scratching at new bedding in a coop:
Our redwood tree, with some ducks nearby. 🌲🦆
It seems deaths come in threes, and unfortunately that has been true for our cats recently. Pippin, our 13-year-old pet cat, has just passed away. He was doing fine, but over the past few days has rapidly declined, despite visits to the vet. We’ll miss you old man. 🐈🪦
